Play Skills
Play support focuses on helping children develop the foundational skills they use to explore, learn, and interact with others. This may include shared play, turn‑taking, symbolic play, problem‑solving, and using play as a context for communication. We use play‑based and interest‑led activities to support engagement and meaningful participation across home, school, and community settings.
When might a child benefit from support?
Families often seek support when their child prefers solitary play, has difficulty joining in with others, or finds it challenging to use toys in flexible or imaginative ways.
What does a session look like?
Sessions are fully play‑based and follow your child’s interests, creating natural opportunities for communication, interaction, and shared enjoyment.
Do you support play in the education environment?
We can, as long as the education environment is happy to have us and you have funds available for travel (if NDIS funded).
How do you involve families?
We work with families to identify everyday play routines that support connection, communication, and shared enjoyment.
