Sarah
Founder, CEO & Speech Patholgist
I am the Founder, CEO and a certified Speech Pathologist. After taking time away from the profession to raise my children, I re‑certified and returned to practice with a passion for supporting children, families and the community.
I am deeply committed to growth - for the children we support, for the families we partner with, and for the team I am privileged to lead. While running Beyond Perception, I continue to work with a small number of families, which keeps me connected to the heart of our work and the values our service is built on. My approach is functional and holistic, always looking at the whole picture - I believe behaviour is communication.
Building a service grounded in strong relationships, meaningful outcomes and genuine connection is one of the most rewarding parts of my role.

Catherine
Clinical Lead Speech Pathologist
I am a certified Speech Pathologist with a Master of Speech‑Language Therapy Practice from Auckland, New Zealand, where I began my career in the education sector before moving to Melbourne. I particularly love working with young children and their families in early intervention, but I am passionate about all areas of speech pathology.
Alongside my client work, I provide clinical leadership to our team, which means I have limited speech therapy session availability. My approach is play and strengths based and informed by evidence. I enjoy celebrating successes with families and supporting children to develop functional communication skills that make a difference in their everyday lives.
Outside of work, I enjoy camping, keeping active with running, walking and Pilates, and spending time reading.

My practice is functional, family‑centred, strengths‑based and collaborative, guided by current evidence‑informed approaches. I value building strong, supportive relationships with children and their families to help create meaningful communication opportunities.
