Speech SoundsSpeech sound therapy for children
Helping children say sounds in words and be understood, through play and at a pace that suits them.
Does this sound like your child?
Every child is different. These are some of the reasons families get in touch. Tick any that sound familiar.
That's worth a chat. You don't need to be sure. Tell us a little about your child and we'll help you work out the next step.
Enquiry FormHow we help
- Play first. We practise sounds inside games, books and activities your child already loves.
- Everyday practice. We find quick ways to practise in routines like play, mealtimes and outings.
- Clear goals. You'll know which sounds we're working on and why, with regular reviews along the way.
Sessions are usually 45 minutes, weekly, fortnightly or monthly, depending on what your child needs. In clinic, at home, kinder, school or online. NDIS, Medicare and private. About funding
Questions families ask
What are speech sounds?
Speech sounds are the individual sounds we use to form words. While they're learning, children may swap sounds, leave sounds out, or find certain sound combinations tricky.
Can Medicare help with the cost?
It may. A GP plan can give a Medicare rebate for some sessions, and the Medicare M10 changes (from March 2026) expanded support for some children with speech sound disorders. See our funding guide or ask us when you enquire.
